But that circumcision "does" offer benefit for hygiene is what these African men are being told.<br /><br />Assuming that the connection between circumcision and "better hygiene" could be conclusively proven, circumcision would still not be a requirement for better health and hygiene, as these can alternatively be achieved without cutting.<br /><br />My bigger question is, are these men being fully informed of their options here? Are these men being told what the AAP has said regarding hygiene? Or are they presenting circumcision as the only option?<br /><br />In context I say:<br /><br />"Much "support" is offered to men who go in for circumcisions. (i.e., encouragement and support from their physicians, and additionally women are being asked by Soka Uncobe to encourage and support their men to get circumcised.)
