The Future of This Blog

Well, it's been nearly a decade since I started this blog.

I've tried to faithfully publish my thoughts by making at least one post monthly for nearly 10 years and now I wonder what the future of this blog will be.

The fight to end the forced genital cutting of healthy, non-consenting minors is far from over, in my home country of the United States, let alone the rest of the world.

However, I do feel that the intactivist movement has made strides.

It had been nearly 15 years since I first started questioning circumcision when I decided to start this blog in 2011, and now in 2020 it has been about 24 years since, and a lot has changed.

When I first started researching the topic of circumcision on the internet in say, 1996, there were few resources on the topic, most of which were, in my view, very pro-circumcision.

Indeed, the first website that ever came up in AltaVista (Do you remember that?) was circlist.

There were, of course, also, a few organizations that opposed male infant circumcision, but I found those much later in my journey.

The topic of male infant circumcision was a lot more taboo.

In parenting forums, the bias was always mostly in favor of circumcision.

If anyone ever questioned it, they were usually shouted down by all the other pro-circ parents.

Nowadays, it's not the same.

Where I would see a parent questioning circumcision be overwhelmed by pro-circ parents, now I see more and more parents speaking out in defense leaving baby boys intact.

I used to be one of those activists who always felt the need to counter pro-circ comments on parenting forums, Facebook and other mediums, and I always felt so alone to be practically the only one speaking out.

Now, when I see nasty comments on the internet mocking anatomically correct male organs, I scroll down and I don't even have to comment; there are now enough aware parents out there speaking out.

Sadly, an increase in the intactivist voice among parents also means that a lot of parenting forums and groups have also taken it upon themselves to silence this conversation.

This is a disservice to parents and their children, because this means that parents aren't making fully informed decisions; you can't make a fully informed decision if factual information is deemed "offensive."

Since I started this blog, new organizations opposing the forced genital cutting of healthy, non-consenting minors have arisen.

IntactAmerica, Intaction, and Genital Autonomy just to name a few.

The information database intactiwiki.org has been established.

The award-winning film American Circumcision was published and was even available on Netflix.

Activist Eric Clopper spoke out in a performance he gave at Harvard University; the university has effectively cancelled him and he is now involved in a defamation lawsuit against them.

Male infant circumcision is now being talked about in the mainstream, and it simply is not the taboo subject it once was.

But while more than ever, there is awareness of what's going on in American hospitals, the practice of male infant genital mutilation continues.

The practice continues because it's a moneymaker and doctors have no real reason to stop, even though, reaping profit from performing non-medical surgery on healthy, non-consenting individuals already constitutes medical fraud.

There is still a need to bang the intactivist pot.

For this reason, I plan on continuing to publish on this blog, although I'm sad to announce that from now on, it won't be as often as I'd like.

The sad truth is that your blogger is becoming more and more busy with life.

He is a father of three wonderful children and he works a job whose hours are increasing to support his family.

All is not lost, however; in a way, the goals of my blog are already being achieved.

As I've stated already, more and more circumcision is less of a taboo subject; there is more awareness and the topic is being discussed more openly.

Though I project my presence on this blog is going to decrease in the coming years, there are already other voices speaking out to replace me.

I'm just too busy with my job and family to keep up with any of the latest developments.

And others are already articulating my thoughts and sentiments more tactfully and eloquently than I ever could.

So with this post, I announce that I'll be stepping down, albeit not completely.

I'll still be around to post from time to time, but not as frequently as I'd like.

Up until now, I had been trying to post at least once a month, but I think that more and more, this is becoming less possible.

I'd like to thank all my readership that has followed me this far.

Do check back here from time to time, as I'll still be posting.

Who knows! Maybe I'll find something to post about every month.

I just can't make any promises.

May male infant genital mutilation disappear from American hospitals, truly, every hospital, and soon.

I pray for intactivism for one day to be obsolete, and relegated to the past, where it belongs.

The Crimson Joins Harvard in Filing "Motion to Dismiss"

Earlier this month, I posted about how Harvard University basically wants to shrug off Eric Clopper's lawsuit for defamation by filing a "motion to dismiss."

And now, it appears the university's publication, The Crimson, which has also been implicated in the lawsuit, has responded in turn with its own "motion to dismiss."

There is no doubt that a third "motion to dismiss" by the third party implicated in this lawsuit, Baystate Sound, is to be expected.

I'm just going to quickly comment on how bold-faced these actions are before letting you read for yourself what Eric Clopper has said in his mailing list below.

How brazen it is of Harvard and their publication, and Baystate Sound to collude in the deliberate defamation of Eric Clopper to then attempt to brush it off.

Harvard University, The Crimson and Baystate Sound colluded in the defamation of Eric Clopper and the violation of his constitutional rights, not to mention the University's own stated conviction to Freedom of Speech and the pursuit of truth.

The following is a message sent out by Eric Clopper:

It's been twelve weeks since I filed my complaint against Harvard and their student newspaper The Crimson to begin my lawsuit against them for the violation for free speech, defamation, conspiracy and other claims.

The Crimson has responded my to complaint with their own 12(b)(6) motion, called a "Motion to Dismiss for Failure to State a Claim." This is the same type of motion Harvard filed a week prior to The Crimson. It is essentially their "so what?" defense.

I have updated the docket so you can read The Crimson's motion, i.e. Doc 36, available at https://www.clopper.com/docket.

As a reminder, this motion is essentially The Crimson's "So what?" defense. These motions argue (in the generic sense, not specific to my case), "Let's assume all your alleged facts are true. Even if they are true, so what? There are no legal remedies for the facts as you state them."

You can read The Crimson's "So what?" defense (DOC #36) and compare them to my Complaint (DOC #1) then form your own opinion.

Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments below the filings on my site.

Eric Clopper fights a three-way fight:

First and foremost, he fights to defend his reputation, since officials at Harvard, The Crimson and Baystate Sound colluded to attack his character.

Second, he fights to be heard, as the university's actions are a clear affront to his and others' Freedom of Speech, and their clear and express wish is to silence him.

And third, he fights for truth and raising awareness as to what is happening in hospitals across the United States; the gross and deliberate violation of basic human rights of healthy, non-consenting individuals in the name of pseudoscience and religion.

Harvard Responds to Eric Clopper with a "Motion to Dismiss"

In my last post related to this ongoing saga, we learned that Eric Clopper filed a lawsuit against Harvard University for enacting a smear campaign against him for show he put on at Harvard's Sanders Theatre. (Please read about this in my last post and on related posts listed at the end of this post.)

Just yesterday, Eric Clopper sent out an e-mail updating us as to the situation of the lawsuit he filed against Harvard. The e-mail reads as follows:

It's been ten weeks since I filed my complaint against Harvard et al. to begin my lawsuit against them for the violation of my right to free speech and other claims.

To extend the courtesy to defendants Harvard and The Crimson that they never extended to me during their "investigation," retaliation, and defamation campaign against me following my play, I wanted to give you the opportunity to read their latest arguments that they made and then filed with the federal court.

To this end, I have compiled ALL public court documents and uploaded them to my website at https://www.clopper.com/docket (updated periodically)

The first substantive argument Defendant Harvard has filed with the federal court is their "Motion to Dismiss for Failure to State a Claim." (DOC #30)

This motion was described to me in law school as a "So what?" defense. These motions argue (in the generic sense, not specific to my case), "Let's assume all your alleged facts are true. Even if they are true, so what? There are no legal remedies for the facts as you state them."

You can read Harvard's "So what?" defense (DOC #30) and compare them to my Complaint (DOC #1) then form your own opinion.

Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments below the filings on my site.

More soon,

Clopper

I don't have time to comment long on these situations nowadays, but it appears Harvard is trying to get away with the defamation. In addition to denying the very thing Harvard has historically made the case for, free speech, they went on to smear and defame Eric Clopper, and now they want to fold their hands and pretend as if they shouldn't be held responsible.

It is my hope that, for the good of Freedom of Speech, for the good of university students everywhere, but most of all, for the awareness of true and factual information regarding what is quite possibly the most common elective, cosmetic procedure in the country, and for the advancement of equal rights for male infants, justice prevails.

In a way, Harvard's heinous acts can be seen as a blessing. Had Harvard merely kept quiet and let Eric's show be, he wouldn't have garnered much attention. But due to the fact that Harvard wants to play hard-ball, this is giving attention to Eric and his message, perhaps more attention than the male infant circumcision advocates at Harvard had intended.

Human Rights Activist Eric Clopper Files Lawsuit Vs. Harvard

I'm a little late in the game when it comes to reporting this, but as they say, "Better late than never."

Your blogger is busy with life and he somehow wishes he could be both an intactivist and supporting himself financially... Oh well... The best I can do is support other more important, more prominent intactivists...

On May 1st, 2018, Eric Clopper performed a play called Sex and Circumcision: An American Love Story at Harvard University's Sanders Theatre, where he staged the world's ultimate take-down of male infant circumcision as both a medical and religious ritual.

For this, Clopper was immediately placed on leave pending "a full review of the May 1 performance and events leading up to it."

Harvard suspended Clopper for 2 months for a supposed "investigation," during which Harvard’s student news paper, The Crimson, published 5 libelous articles against him, and refused to publish his letter to the editor.

In addition, to having solicited claims against him and eliminated his position, Harvard colluded with the sound company that handled Clopper’s show to obtain intimate footage of his, which they then showed to senior administrators, his boss, his friends and colleagues.

In essence, Harvard University, The Crimson and Baystate Sound colluded in a smear campaign against Clopper.

But why would anyone want to do this?

The answer is clear:

Officials at Harvard and their accomplices would like to cancel Eric Clopper because his message and take-down of male infant circumcision is solid, and they have vested interest in protecting male infant circumcision and those who perpetuate it.

That is the tactic and strategy of people who have no logical leg to stand on; cancel and silence.

So solid and irrefutable is Clopper's message, that the only chance people who want to silence him have is to disenfranchise him by attacking his character and plaguing him with financial ruin and shame.

That same year, Clopper set out to play David to Harvard's Goliath, setting up a GoFundMe to cover litigation expenses.

And now, it seems, Eric Clopper is finally armed and ready to fight.

On July 27, 2020 this year, he posted the following video on YouTube:

He says:
“My attorneys and I have officially filed suit against Harvard and other parties for the violation of my Constitutional Rights and other claims in the Federal District Court of Massachusetts.
If you'd like to support my and my attorney's legal efforts, and to get a copy of the pleadings, you can go to my site, subscribe for updates if you'd like, donate to our effort if you can, and there are various ways to get in touch with me if you'd like : https://www.clopper.com/harvard-lawsuit

I am going to be relatively quiet in the immediate future, but in the coming months and year, I will have many updates on this and other issues.

Clopper fights a three-way fight:

First and foremost, he fights to defend his reputation, since officials at Harvard, The Crimson and Baystate Sound colluded to attack his character.

Second, he fights to be heard, as the university's actions are a clear affront to his and others' Freedom of Speech, and their clear and express wish is to silence him.

And third, he fights for truth and raising awareness as to what is happening in hospitals across the United States; the gross and deliberate violation of basic human rights of healthy, non-consenting individuals in the name of pseudoscience and religion.

Eric Clopper Needs Your Help

Eric and Harvard University

If you support the intactivist cause of bodily integrity and basic human rights for all children, you've got to support Eric Clopper.

As I've already talked about in previous posts, Eric Clopper was fired from his job for having written and orchestrated what is probably the most devastating take-down of male infant circumcision of all time.

He takes apart the lastest pseudo-scientific circumcision alibis and holds the AAP's feet to the fire for citing them in their latest 2012 statement.

It is perhaps that his presentation is so compelling, so well-researched and indicting of American medicine that the administration at Harvard is seeing to it that this man be silenced.

Silence is not enough, as the Harvard administration has gone the extra step of shaming this man with illegally obtained intimate footage.

When you can't attack an argument, you attack the arguer, and it seems this is the path Harvard University has taken in regards to Eric Clopper.

But why let me tell you about it? I'm going to copy-paste his latest blog post here.

Thank you… And Next Steps

July 17, 2018
Thank You...

I have been overwhelmed by all the support you’ve all shown me following the release of my show, Sex & Circumcision: An American Love Story. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I’ve tried over the last couple days to keep up with everyone. To personally thank, or at least like, love, and haha (all the FB emojis) all the support you’ve shown me. I’ve been completely overwhelmed, and for that, I thank you.

The range of people’s reactions to my show have been as wide as they can be. From “powerful, amazing, informative, heartfelt, empowering, brilliant, stellar, and epic” to “nude, anti-Semitic rant.” Whatever your position is, I just ask that you watch my show in its entirety before coming to a conclusion (the latter “rant” review was written by two “reporters” Michael Xie and Lucy Wang who did not see my show.) Whatever other people’s reactions may be, the reason I put on this show was because I thought it was the right thing to do. Because I know on every level (historical, academic, medical, and personal) and in my bones that cutting into the flesh of and excising functional genital tissue from children is a profoundly evil thing to do. If you’re doing it to honor an ancient blood sacrifice, well, that’s an even stupider reason.

I don’t want to delve into genital-cutting though, you can see my show for that. I’m writing this to convey my thanks for your support in helping move this supremely important cause forward. The right to one’s own body is the fundamental human right we must all have if we are to consider ourselves a civilized society. Unfortunately, we cannot consider ourselves worthy of the title “civilized” yet.

Next Steps

I knew my show would be controversial, which is why I stressed multiple times I was only representing myself and not Harvard University. I had hoped that Harvard would live up to its adamant free speech policy as underscored by both its outgoing president, Drew Faust, and its recently inaugurated president, Lawrence Bacow. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Immediately following my show I was suspended without explanation, and after a lengthy inquisition, Harvard terminated me immediately following the release of my show.

I knew my show was controversial (because people don’t want to hear the truth, not the factual content), but even so, I thought Harvard had the integrity to live up to their published, stated, and often underscored commitment to free speech; I was wrong.

Although I loved my job, working with my coworkers, and the opportunities working at Harvard provided, I don’t regret giving my performance; it was the right thing to do.

What happens next? Well, now, there are consequences. Consequences for both me and Harvard.

For me? Well, I find myself unemployed and broke (I spent all my money on the show). I will have to find a way to get by in the interim until I get another job, monetize my intactivism, or do something along those lines to make money. I wish it never came to this.

For Harvard? Well, Harvard usually considers itself immune to most negative repercussions; they do have 38 billion dollars and a building full of attorneys on retainer.

But, how can anyone, especially alumni, faculty, and students, let “the greatest university” so disregard the principles they ostensibly defend? Freedom of speech, expression, and thought are pillars of any great university. Yet, they fire me immediately following the release of my show on pretextual grounds after stealing my sensitive tapes and disseminating them among senior administrators and compelling my colleagues to view it? It’s so egregious, it’s hard to believe.

I intend to hold Harvard accountable for their behavior and hypocrisy even if they have more money than many countries. To do this, though, I need your help… I need your help spreading the word, and I need your help in litigation. If you are down to join my team, please consider giving what you can to help me litigate against Harvard, the Goliath, and hold them accountable for their malfeasance and lack of integrity. In doing so, we can set a new precedent that drawing a firm line in the sand – that it is UNACCEPTABLE to cut into the flesh of newborn children – is not a just cause to get investigated and terminated over.

If you’d like to support my litigation efforts against Harvard, The Crimson, and Baystate Events (the company that stole my show and personal, sexually explicit content and sent them to Harvard), please find my GoFundMe here: https://www.gofundme.com/eric-cloppers-defense-fund

Please stay tuned to my blog and social media channels for new content and updates on how this David vs. Goliath battle plays out… and thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for your help in this battle for the fundamental human rights of our kids.

Sincerely,

Eric Clopper

Harvard Porn-Shames Employee for Anti-Circumcision Show

In my last post, I wrote about how Harvard University was trying to censor Eric Clopper for his intactivist show “Sex & Circumcision: An American Love Story.” It turns out that what they’re actually doing is far worse.

It would be one thing if the university administration merely fired him and told him to look elsewhere for a job because they were “offended” or whatever bullshit reason they could come up with.

Instead, Eric Clopper reveals on his GoFundMe page that not only did Harvard’s student news paper The Crimson publish 5 libelous articles against him, they refused to publish his letter to the editor.

Harvard suspended Clopper for 2 months for a supposed “investigation,” during which they solicited claims against him and eliminated his position.

And, as if that weren’t enough, Harvard colluded with the sound company that handled Clopper’s show to obtain intimate footage of his, which they then showed to senior administrators, his boss, his friends and colleagues.

This is a screen shot from a video College Humor did on circumcision.
Actually, Eric Clopper uses the video in his show.

In essence, Harvard University, The Crimson and Baystate Sound engaged in a smear campaign against Clopper.

Obviously his show pinched some nerves, and now people are trying to shut him down.

This is no different than if people were trying to porn-shame women who performed in the Vagina Monologues.

Clopper effectively, conclusively and irrefutably destroys the lie that male infant circumcision before an audience.

He highlights the historical reasons circumcision was performed on males, a lot of which are beliefs still held today.

He takes apart the pseudo-science used to prop up the claim that circumcision has "medical benefits"

He exposes the AAP and the so-called "circumcision task-force" for the frauds they are, and for the crock of deliberate lies they try and feed the public.

He attacks the conflict of interests that Jewish doctors and physicians have when propping up the so-called "medical benefits."

He rejects the Jewish covenant imposed on him as an infant and openly repudiates it.

This man's presentation is an indictment of American medicine and America as a whole for holding on to, repeating, and perpetuating a lie which is clear and obvious to anyone well-versed in basic human anatomy, history and medicine, basically the rest of the English-speaking world.

It is a call to action that we reject this lie for truth, and to protect the most basic, the most fundamental human rights of the next generation.

I recon this does not sit will with the AAP, Jewish members of Harvard, and gentiles who are circumcised themselves, spouses of circumcised men, or parents of circumcised children, who do not want to have to question this, who fear the spread of Eric Clopper's message.

His message is solid.

So solid and irrefutable, that the only chance people who want to silence him have is to attack his character and plague him with financial ruin and shame.

You can shoot the messenger, but the message stands or falls on its own.

I beseech my readers to please help this man with whatever you can.

Help him win his fight against those who are trying to shame him into silence.

Watch and help spread his video.

Male infant circumcision is a crime against humanity.

It is a violation of the most basic of human rights.

It is scientific profanity and an insult to human intelligence.

It is a sick, disgusting, bold-faced lie respected medical organizations in the rest of the world can see right through, and it's about time American medical organizations stop telling it.

Harvard Censors Intellect for Circumcision Play at Sanders Theatre

Could we expect any less?

Eric Clopper, an intellect in many fields, computer technology, physics and data analysis among other things, was placed on leave by Harvard for his intactivist play at Sanders Theatre.

On May 1st, Clopper performed a play called "Sex and Circumcision: An American Love Story," where he gives what is possibly the best, most knowledgeable and well-researched talk on circumcision, and anatomically correct male genitals in all of intactivist history.

The performance is 2 hours long, and he covers every nook, every cranny, every possible logical fallacy surrounding the advocacy of forced male genital cutting, from religious, to cultural, to pseudo-scientific to pseudo-medical.

He gives a complete and thorough discussion on this topic in a way I can only dream of, would that I could arrange my thoughts in proper order.

He leaves no area of this topic untouched. He comes down hard on every last bastion of advocacy for the practiced of male infant genital mutilation, up to and including the most taboo holy cow of all; religion.

He actually attacks the Jewish covenant of circumcision as a "satanic ritual."

Being Jewish himself, he has a certain permission to do that.

For non-Jewish intactivists, this is simply a no-go zone to be avoided at all costs for fear of the anti-Semite card.

His unbridled critique of Jewish involvement in male infant circumcision advocacy in America is probably what has caused the administration at Harvard to put him on leave.

I'm reminded of Norman Finkelstein, who was in a similar situation for being a sharp critic of the state of Israel.

A Jewish critic of male infant circumcision is probably despised the most by Jewish advocates of it, because what are you going to say to him?

The "anti-Semite" card doesn't work to shut down the conversation, because well, he's Jewish!

No, you can't break Godwin's Law on a Jew, so the best you can do is try to silence him.

Disenfranchise and delegitimize him in any which way you can.

There is probably no greater menace to male infant circumcision than an angry Jewish critic of it.

I must commend Eric Clopper for his bravery in broaching this subject and not holding back his harsh condemnation of it, in spite of the hate, anger and contempt he knows he's going to face.

There is not a more despised man than a teller of the truth.

The following could be found on his website on 7/14/2018:

What's Next?
After Sanders Theatre

Thanks to all who have been in touch since my May 1 play at Harvard's Sanders Theatre. The play was very well received by all except the Harvard Crimson and Harvard administrators. Unfortunately, I was immediately placed on leave pending "a full review of the May 1 performance and events leading up to it."

Some new friends and allies, including Harvard alumni, have reached out to offer support. I can't find words to express how much these shows of support have meant to me in these uncertain times.

My determination to fight against this barbaric human rights violation is unwavering despite Harvard's Goliath pose.

Some people have asked me whether I might take the play on tour, and I would be interested in exploring the possibilities. If you would like to sponsor a production in your area, please feel free to get in touch with me at eric@clopper.com.

It makes me glad, and it fills me with hope to see Jewish critics of circumcision speak out against it with a passion; if anyone can stop the forced genital cutting of children in this lifetime, it's them.

One of the biggest reasons male infant genital mutilation continues in the US today, is because of disproportionate Jewish influence in high places in American medicine.

It is perhaps only an angry, Jewish male who can actually come out and say it without mincing words.

Eric Clopper's bravery is to be commended, as he knows this may come at a price.

On Facebook, his video was deleted after 20,000 views in two days.

If you're interested in seeing the whole 2-hour show, visit http://www.clopper.com

Availability may be for a limited time; no doubt there are people trying to make it impossible for him to post.
